We all seek to thrive...to live life at its fullest.
Thriving means living up to our potential as co-creators in the universe.
Thriving means finding happiness that comes from living in harmony with nature.
I don't mean happiness as an ephemeral, transitory mood state, but happiness in the context of life satisfaction, well being, emotional, intellectual and physical health, moral alignment, community connection and flourishing.
Thriving is our birth right.
To reach our human potential, we require freedom. This freedom results from living a life based on universal principles and morality.
We can learn to be free...From where we are now as a society, the road to freedom will take concerted effort and some level of sacrifice...and it's worth it!
Freedom offers us the opportunity to fully express our unique selves and live without debilitating states of depression, anxiety, gluttony and addiction. Working for freedom now is an act of courage that will help increase the odds that future generations will thrive too! This work is our divine purpose!
Our potential is severely limited though by the conditions of chronic stress and unnatural trauma caused by coercion, oppression and violence. These conditions literally change our minds.
Unless we take charge of our thoughts and behaviors and how we interact with each other, our brain state will decline and our health will deteriorate.
The potential exists of peace and harmony among people, yet we are leagues away from this in our current reality. Instead of thriving, we are suffering and declining.
Sadly we are complicit in this decline and in the withering of our spirits and declining health.
We are demonstrating the lack of knowledge and skills necessary to thrive.
The bottom line is that we are not victims of circumstance. We are indeed collaborators.... Collaborators in bad relationships and participants in immoral social structures.
To be free, we must learn to change thoughts and behaviors that contribute to our own decline. We must recognize our interconnectedness to nature and all living beings, and we must act accordingly with a spirit of true care.
